Promising the closest shave you'll ever have, Todd starts slitting throats, pulls the lever and dispatches the corpses to Mrs Lovett's evil basement when they're pulped into sausage meat. And yet - in Bonham Carter's brilliant characterisation - Mrs Lovett still somehow manages to suggest a heart of gold, especially in her dreams of a happy future. The dreams break into technicolor - a sharp contrast to the gloomy, murky colours of the rest of the film, colours broken only by frequent gushes of blood. Tales don't come much more macabre than this, but director Timothy Burton instantly sucks you into his dark world - a world in which the songs work remarkably well. Sondheim is a love-him-or-loathe-him type composer and lyricist, with music often far too jarring - but here it's just right, the performers relishing the devilish cleverness of each and every one of the words.
Health offiicials worried about more possible cases of rabies
Seven people locally are receiving rabies shots and public health officials are looking for anyone else who may have been in contact with puppies at Pets R Us, also known as Feed Me More Pets, in Chesley since Jan. 3. "There is a potential that during that period other pups at the Chesley location may been exposed to infectious animals," said Karen Sweiger, manager of the rabies program for the Grey Bruce Health Unit. Sweiger said Monday the seven local people are receiving rabies shots, a series of five injections over 28 days, as a precautionary measure. Each vaccine series costs $1,000, which is paid for by taxpayers. Public Health officials, both locally and in the Toronto, Peel and York regions, continue to look for people who may have been exposed to puppies that were being sold on Jan.
Shape Up Montana - Healthy fitness routine should enrich life
Here are some important points to remember: eating is not about willpower, exercise isn't (and shouldn't be) a penalty, and deprivation is never a successful long-term strategy.A healthy fitness routine should be based on adding things to your life not taking them away. It's about trying delicious new healthy foods and moving your body and mind in ways that inspire you. Try fresh blueberries on your cereal. Pack a handful of baby carrots in your lunch. Learn a new exercise or sport. Read a book on tai chi or triathlons. Take a rock-climbing lesson.Spend time thinking about ways to enrich and improve your life rather than ways to punish yourself for eating that last slice of pie, and before you know it your unhealthy choices will be replaced with healthier options. (And remember, when reporting your monthly miles, any activity you do can be converted into miles using your SUM conversion chart.)Before you start a new fitness plan, there are some important questions you need to ask yourself to determine whether you should see your doctor first. The American Council on Exercise suggests that your first step be to ask yourself how active you want to be.

"For folks used to going out for a big lunch and going to sleep in the office in the afternoon - a carbo coma - this is an alternative," Hodgson said. Mad Greens is already looking near the Colorado State University campus to open a second Fort Collins location, Hodgson said.
